Heating and cooling your home keeps the air inside, where you want it. But it also traps in the bad stuff. Toxins from cleaning supplies, old and other nasty pollutants can make you sick.

Things such as textiles, particle board, adhesive products can have formaldehyde. Paints, air fresheners, dry cleaned clothing, aerosol sprays can release volatile organic compounds, toxic chemcials that can outgas into the air.

What can you do to help clean your air?

Clean with non toxic products.
Ventilate! Open your windows as much as possible.
Vacuum carpets and rugs more often.
Eliminate as much moisture as possible by using dehumidifiers.
Consider wood floors and use rugs instead of carpet.
