Custom Designs: Two Story Tandem

Almost unlimited flexibility in size and orientations.

As with the one-story tandem the possibilities are endless. What we have done here though, is add the design choice that allows you to build up as well as out and that oftentimes gives you the access to some potential views that otherwise may be missed. With this particular design we have often found that all of the bedrooms can fit in the two-story area and the master suite will have a regal feel all by itself at the top of the stairs with that second story view. The kids - well they get the lower story bedrooms, but who is paying the bills, anyway!

Again, choices reign supreme. What size yurts, what size connectors, etc. We have even built these structures on hillsides that had created multiple stories, daylight basement opportunities and more. From the outside this ability to create different exterior elevations truly adds to the architectural interest of these structures and have often been some of the pictures that people have drooled over the most as they peruse our portfolios.

If we were to win a design prize, our multiple level tandems would probably be the designs that would do so. Incredible separation of space, the ultimate in maximized view and solar and both the master suite and the GREAT room in that oh-so wonderful yurt space.
